What do you think about adding support for finding projects by ID in addition to name?

We recently renamed one of our projects which caused the automation to break since it couldnt find the project anymore.

Hi @markphelps that is a great idea. The current iteration is meant to be as user friendly as possible as getting the project board id can be confusing.

This is a great issue for anyone who wants to contribute to this project.

It would be good to also be able to reference organisation projects rather than only repository projects so maybe it could use the URL instead of project ID?

@kittykat this functionality should be built in. Is it not working for you?

I haven't tried it with URL as the docs said "the name of the project". I'll give it a go and let you know 👍

The name of the project should work for organisations and repositories. It just needs a different permissions for the key. There isn't URL functionality.
