When launching SteamVR in any way, in the add-ons menu there 's only "Gamepad Support", but no "alvr_server". Tried installing it via AUR and standalone, nothing changes
General Troubleshooting
I carefully followed the instructions in the README and successfully completed the setup wizard
Are you actually launching SteamVR through the alvr dashboard? Also you need to currently always apply the first entry on the linux troubleshooting wiki page. You'll likely also need the wayland fix
the wayland fix fixed this for me, using the launch options for steamvr as shown here: QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/vrmonitor.sh %command%
