The latest release of Android Studio Flamingo came along with the new Android Gradle Plugin 8.0.0. This version of the plugin requires Java 17 to run. To avoid problems with CI/CD configurations, Java 17 will be the default JDK for versions released on or after July 1st, 2024. In other words, if you are using currently
