I was able to get this to build on OS X using the version of Eigen in the deps folder rather than the one packaged with AD3. Also had to add the lisbtdc++ flags to all the makefiles for ad3. Lastly, had to change unordered_map to tr1/unordered_map.
Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing since I know nothing about C but I was able to get it to build with clang and it seemed to work normally based on the examples in the readme.
