I wanted to express my team's interest in migrating our Ansible automation's molecule tests to kubevirt (OpenShift Virtualization). It seems to us that conducting tests in kubevirt ephemeral VMs would be more suitable than testing in podman containers.
I'm wondering if it would be worth considering the development of an official molecule plugin for kubevirt. While I did come across an existing plugin called https://github.com/ansible-community/molecule-kubevirt, it is not an official plugin and hasn't been actively maintained for over a year. I actually created a pull request for them at ansible-community/molecule-kubevirt#58, but it appears that the project hasn't seen any recent updates.
