No Audio

I can mirror screen from my ipad to my linux machine, but audio does not work.
I occasionally hear pops, but nothing else.
Using pw-top I see that there is a uxplay sound node in pipewire.
Sound is working on my machine normally otherwise.

There are no errors when running uxlpay.
I am running uxplay 1.68 on gentoo.

I think this has to do with ALAC support, but I can't find any mention of a package I need.
I tried installing media-sound/alac_decoder, but taht did not help.
