After shorting out my CH340G based USB to TTL dongle, I was in a fix as to how to troubleshoot the custom ESP8266 board I had designed. So I googled and found that NodeMCU can be used as USB to TTL converter if you disable onboard ESP Chip. So I designed a PCB that makes it easy to flash any ESP8266 Chip. NodeMCu shows up as CP210x based USB-To-UART Bridge. Here are the pictures:
