0. About using SPI multi display.

• You can use any SPI display that uses a 3-wire SPI bus. 4-wire SPI bus - not tested, but should work too (only they are supported by Tasmota).
• You can connect a maximum of 8 displays using the ESP8266, or more using the ESP32.
• You can:
  • display the same information on all displays at once (by switching on all relays);
  • or display information individually on each display (including the corresponding relay);
  • or use mirror display.

1. SPI mirror display (minimal configuration).

How to use it.

• You must add support for display in my_user_config.h file, or flash our ESP8266 module with tasmota-display.bin file.
• Make all the necessary settings for your display to function.
• Run commands in the console for test mirror Display:

How to use it.

• You must add support for display in my_user_config.h file, or flash our ESP8266 module with tasmota-display.bin file.
• Make all the necessary settings for your display to function.
• Run the command in the console to run the "Interlock" mode, for the possibility of individual output of information on displays (optional):
  SetOption73 ON // Enable detach buttons from relays.
  Interlock 1,2,3 //Group Relay1 and Relay2 and Relay3 in "group 1".
  Interlock 1 //Enable relay interlock mode.
• Run the command in the console to modify the interface (optional):
  Backlog WebButton1 E-PAPER#1; WebButton2 E-PAPER#2; WebButton3 E-PAPER#3
• Run commands in the console for test Display:
  Backlog Power1 1; DisplayText [z] // For run display#1.
  DisplayText [f0s2x2y2tS] // Print text on display#1.

nice finding about multiple display support also your i2c solution.

my multi display solution was indeed poorly described
it can combine any non universal display (e.g. a matrix display) with any universal display (up to 3 in total)

this example assumes a non universal display at slot 1, but of course all displays may be universal
and adds an sh1106 on slot 2
it then displays daytime on sh1106 every second

I have tried this now. Tasmota finds HIH6 anyway.

What I do with self-compiled builds is to build time disable all included I2C drivers using I2CDRIVERS_0_31, I2CDRIVERS_32_63 and I2CDRIVERS_64_95.

I tried to do this. But I am getting an error when compiling.

OK. I ended up testing for USE_MULTI_DISPLAY
(maybe I'll continue later when I have other compatible displays).

1. E-Papper (slot 1) + SSD1306 (slot 2) = works well.
2. LCD1602 (slot 1) + SSD1306 (slot 2) = does not work, always reboot if "Script enable" and Save the settings.
3. SSD1306 (slot 1) + E-Papper (slot 2) = does not work, always reboot if "Script enable" and Save the settings.
4. E-Papper (slot 1) + E-Papper (slot 2) = does not work, always reboot if "Script enable" and Save the settings.

I've tested:

1. E-Papper (slot 1) + SSD1306 (slot 2) = works well.
2. LCD1602 (slot 1) + SSD1306 (slot 2) = works well.
3. SSD1306 (slot 1) + E-Papper (slot 2) = I don't understand how to configure SPI the driver for slot 2 (E-Papper).
4. E-Papper (slot 1) + E-Papper (slot 2) = I don't understand how to configure SPI the driver for slot 2 (E-Papper).

I will soon be doing more tests with the SPI driver for the E-Papper (slot 2).
