We need a mechanism of getting new firmware versions onto the Hub.

The issue is complicated in that generally the hub does not have internet access.

Suggest we make a mechanism that operates as follows:

  • User puts Pi SD card into computer
  • User downloads firmware update zip file and puts it in a specific folder on the Pi SD card (same idea as getting SSH / Wifi access)
  • Pi boots with SD and looks in the accessible location for firmware files, unzips them and copies the .bin files to /provisioning_data
  • User (with advice from support) creates a new Script for the firmware update and runs it to update it.
