Hi all,

I'm interested in working on a atom frontend for a python debugger. I figure that the best way to go about this is to join the effort to standardize the API. There doesn't seem to be much activity on this repository, though... Has there been any more work done someplace else?

Anyways, @steelbrain you seem eager to start working on this. Need any help?

@wfdctrl I was going to work on it, but then @joefitzgerald showed interest, I have high hopes for him, he's an awesome dev. I guess he has been busy with other things and haven't gathered enough time for debugger yet

@steelbrain I hope @joefitzgerald won't be the only person working on this, this is a community project after all. Considering he won't be the only person using this I see no harm in getting a head start. At least we can do is get the discussion going about the interface and the protocol. Have any decisions been made regarding this?

@wfdctrl I had called out several RFCs requesting API proposals
The tracking bug for API in this repo is #2

Other ones are
facebookarchive/nuclide#217
johanlunds/atom-ruby-debugger#1
kiddkai/atom-node-debugger#82
xndcn/atom-debugger#15
