Recommendation

  1. Disable rename Settings -> search for aurelia.capabilities -> untick Rename box
  2. Sometimes Saving then calling Aurelia: Reload Extension works

Explanation

Feature is not working as intended as soon as files are changed, because underlying code has not latest files
