Curious to know if there's been interests from other consumers (of chime JS SDK) to use the content share to stream audio only (for example: to play music during a meeting).

With the current implementation, one of the problems is that peers can't control the audio without muting the entire meeting.

I wish there was an API that would allow manipulation of the audio on the receiver side, say for example when a peer doesn't want to listen to the content that was shared.

Is this something others have had a need for or had a clever workaround?

I've implemented a version where I play audio locally but that's kind of very different. I'm hoping to be able to use the content share to pipe audio only.

Hi @davidlygagnon. Yes there has been some interest around this. Unfortunately this isn't possible today as all attendees receive a single mixed audio stream from the conference.

We do have this on our roadmap but we currently do not have any concrete timelines around this. We will update this issue when we have more details about the timeline.

Thanks!

Thanks @pracheth. Really looking forward to hear when it gets picked up from the roadmap.
