The AWS X-Ray SDK for Java has an EKS Plugin available. This adds the container ID, cluster name, pod ID, and the CloudWatch Logs Group.
This feature would be greatly beneficial for anyone running python workloads in EKS

I wanted mention that this feature is also supported through AWS resource detectors (specifically the EKS resource detector) in opentelemetry python. This documentation provides all the steps on how to set up opentelemetry with X-Ray and configure resource detectors as well
