Use a custom aws endpoint

I have a running localstack server, I want to update the sample.properties file to point to another endpoint, for example: http://localhost:4456
Can anyone help me?

You can set your environment variables as such:

export ENDPOINT_KINESIS=http://localhost:4566
export ENDPOINT_DYNAMODB=http://my-docker-network:4566
export ENDPOINT_CLOUDWATCH=http://host.docker.internal:4566 // on mac, not sure about unix/windows

and then in the .properties file, add this:

kinesisEndpoint = $ENDPOINT_KINESIS
dynamoDBEndpoint = $ENDPOINT_DYNAMODB
cloudwatchEndpoint = $ENDPOINT_CLOUDWATCH

Update:
I added various hostnames in the example as I'm not sure if you are running the kcl in docker or not.

• use localhost if the kcl is running outside of docker
• use {my-docker-network} if you have localstack and the kcl running in docker within the same docker network
• use host.docker.internal if you have the kcl running in docker and it doesn't have the same network as localstack (or even if localstack isn't running in docker) ... Note, this works for mac, i can't confirm unix/windows
