How we work & what is Agile?
The Public Review & Comment team is an Agile team that works in Victoria, BC out of the Province's Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) Lab. The CSI Lab is a creative space where multi-disciplinary teams of public servants can learn new ways of working using technology as an enabler to build a modern public service.
As a team of the CSI Lab, this team's approach to software development focuses on solving the problem as opposed to a quick solution. The team works in shorts intervals of three weeks, verifying their work frequently with users and adapting as they go. Throughout the development process, both solutions and the application evolve due to a collaborative effort between a small self-organizing team and the site's users.
The Public Review & Comment team has been determined to build the right thing, and to build it right. Our User Researcher and Service Designer have been working hand-in-hand with both internal government users as well as engaged citizens of the Skeena Region, testing functionality as they go, to ensure that this site resonates with users and successfully meets their needs.
Public Review & Comment pilot went live on March 22, 2018 in the Skeena Region. But, stay tuned! You will notice ample changes to the site throughout the weeks and months as we gain more insight and feedback from users and further develop the site. If you have any feedback on our site, please send an email to [email protected]
