I am trying to build and run ndpi-netfilter on Alpine Linux (v3.8). It fails at the line:
NDPI_PATH=/usr/src/ndpi-netfilter/nDPI make
because the makefile is expecting to find a path /lib/modules/4.14.88-0-virt/build which doesn't exist. I can't find an equivalent in the Alpine directory structure.
Has anybody successfully deployed ndpi-netfilter on Alpine?

apk add linux-virt-dev - will fix it
