Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently the iRODS-related commands fail only after the first icommand fails. This is confusing to users.

Describe the solution you'd like
All such commands such execute ils and check whether this fails and CAT_INVALID_USER is in the output (should be in stderr).
