What's wrong?
I've just downloaded orange and am following instructions. I can't find the corpus on feature importance widget on my device. When I search for them they don't appear.

How can we reproduce the problem?
Not sure

What's your environment?

  • Operating system: Mac OS
  • Orange version: 3.37.0
  • How you installed Orange: via browswer

I assume you mean you can't find the corpus and feature importance widgets? In Orange, select Options > Add-ons, and check "Text" and "Explain", then click OK and again OK to restart Orange. Now you will find the "missing" widgets.

Thanks for the note. I understand it is confusing that some widgets come from the add-ons and are thus not there in the default install. Any ideas on how to make this more obvious for new users?

I guess the OP has seen these widgets being mentioned in YouTube videos or blog posts, where it is maybe not always mentioned that some widgets require an add-on to be installed?

Thanks all and yes didn't realise it was an add-on to be installed

We should add an icon with a plus sign, which would open the add-on installation dialog.

i took another look as if i'm a new user

it could be useful to see some content under 'get started' that invites people to browse 'add ons' to see other widgets available.

otherwise a plus sign icon would also be useful
