I'm searching for a workaround for an issue regarding the search. (See my issue here: #2916)
In short, I was not able to use the build-in search to query search words containing german umlaute (ÄÖÜ, ß) or /. I've already tried to create a custom controller using the query->getContent API to get results, but same issue.
As far as I can tell, the main issue is, that the content in the database is encodes (i.e. Ö -> \u00d6).
Please let me know, if I can provide any additional information. I'm thankful for any pointer on how to work around this issue.
