homebrew-bio abandoned: replacement? #1618
Comments
Hi, bredelings, I was introduced to this great homebrew-bio project by @sjackman. I have created several Formulas so far, including pymol. |
I'm in a similar boat, if we can get CI working here again, I can help push things forward |
Hi Ben and others, none of us really use Homebrew for our jobs anymore, and (at least on my part) there is little motivation to work on any Homebrew-related projects uncompensated seeing as how much work it ends up becoming. I also don't have permission to grant maintainer access to other contributors for this repository (only Shaun does) CI for third-party repositories for Homebrew has always been awkward given the workflow is not identical across first-party and third-party taps. It should be possible to fix this tap's CI strictly through external pull requests but I can't justify spending any time on it other than checking that CI tests are green. |
With #1605 we might have CI working again? With a review I can merge that pull request, we can run through a bunch of the pending pull requests, and then work out how to put |
I think we're up and running again! Please rebase your pending pull requests and I'll try to get them merged as soon as possible |
It looks like homebrew-bio is abandoned, since nothing has been merged after Jan 21, 2023.
Is there a suggested replacement?
