Usually in the form of [dialogue][pronoun][bookism]. ("but noooo," he moaned)

He / she / it / they "exclaimed", "growled", "emoted", "muttered" "whispered", "sighed", "rumbled", "hissed", "pontificated", "enquired". Yuuuck.

+1 for this entire project, Brian. I tried doing something like this a couple of years ago and didn't know enough. Still don't!

Is this another version of the rule: "always use said"? If so, +9000.
