Self target set in redirect does not work in macro #26
Comments
And i do have "Actions from macros" set to queue in the options in redirect |
Ignoring the macro aspect for a moment.... Just setting Self for Holmgang causes the error: Invalid Target, no matter the range. So I think there is something particular about Holmgang and/or the self feature. |
I also set Holmgang to self and later tried as focus/self and it always applied it on target. I installed moaction solely for Holmgang and it works there as selfcast. Hope we get a fix for it here |
bump - still an issue |
Adding to this, still unable to use Self for Holmgang. Works with MOAction however. |
+1 : The redirect to self would allow to bypass macro jank, sad it ain't working. |
Hoping to see this maybe fixed in dawntrail, thanks! |
Maybe I'm not understanding the functionality correctly from what I'm reading.
So it says that if you have custom targeting set up in redirect, it will override action macro's intended target.
I'm trying to set up a macro to use holmgang. I usually have a chat message alerting healer I'm using holmgang. I have holmgang set up as a self target in redirect. My macro is as follows:
/ac Holmgang
/p Channeling Holmgang <se.15>
However, it still applies holmgang to the enemy target instead of casting on myself. I can go ahead and put < me > back in the macro, but I want to make sure I understand how macro targeting works before I continue making raise macros for my healers, cause those will have more dire consequences if it's not working right.
I have raise set up as a mouseover macro in redirect, and then to go down the party list if I don't mouseover. I want to set up a swiftcast macro that just has
/ac Swiftcast
/ac Raise
Will the targetting work correctly?
