Steps to reproduce

  1. Follow tutorial to integrate COS and Charmed PostgreSQL
  2. Turn off primary postgresql machine

Expected behavior

I expect to see only one leader in the dashboard
The off machine to show as down

It will be great to have a box that shows the name of the leader
And how much time that machine has been the leader

Actual behavior

image
See Patroni Leader "Yes Yes No"

Versions

Operating system: Ubuntu 22.04
Juju: 3.4.6-genericlinux-amd64
Charm revision: 14/edge rev 502

I think it is an temporary representation race during the Primary switchover, while async exporters nature works independently on all units causing confusing output until the next exporters update.

@gustavosr98 did you see it constantly? Would be great to curl the Patroni cluster status those time:
curl 10.1.0.65:8008/cluster | jq (I expect to see single Primary there, otherwise it is a critical issue).

P.S. I was not able to reproduce it on my side:
