This plugin simply wasn't working for me, and it took some reading through the closed issues to find out why. I tried both M73 and M113 in the terminal as mentioned in other issues, and saw 0 change on the screen of my Prusa MINI+, and after some digging discovered that the firmware developers thought the best use of the high resolution color display while serial printing was to show a cartoon octopus instead of anything remotely related to the print job, and that this was all but unfixable by me.
That remarkably questionable decision aside, it would be nice to see a list of known non-working printers and a few troubleshooting tips in the README, to save future users the hassle of figuring it out themselves.
For those with the same printer, see this comment for a crappy workaround where you can go into the Tune menu > Messages to see progress. Not very elegant, but seems to be the best that's possible at the moment.
