The screenshots and description for downloading and importing map files is outdated in the wiki. Meanwhile, maps are imported in background without interrupting the user. Also, it's no longer necessary to keep cgeo running in the foreground.
Another change meanwhile: If you have enabled automated updates, c:geo will ask the user after the defined interval whether to check for updates of map/theme data (will be displayed as notification on main screen, and indicated by a blue dot on bottom navigation's "home" icon).
The user can postpone the check by long-tapping on the notification, or start the update check by tapping the notification.
If the check find one or more updates, c:geo will display a list (including sizes) for all updates, and the user can either cancel or start their download in one go (being performed in background). No need to repeat the update check & download for every single file any more.
