Hey there, I'm the guy from youtube that requested some new features (xy compress)
There are movements that need to use different compress maps in the same area. For example:
You can squint your eyes and trigger a compression pulling the skin from the outside of the face towards the nose (x direction), resulting in vertical lines under the eye and near the tear gland. Another movement, eg looking down triggers horizontal wrinkles due to the skin compressing in another direction (y). This behaviour can also be seen for brow compression (x direction) and Nose scrunching (y Direction). These parts are to close to each other and different direction get activated and therefore skin gets compressed "the wrong way".
I hope you get what I mean. I know that in real life there's endless possibilities and directions as well as angles, but this is something to consider implementing.
The same method could be used for horizontal and vertical stretching. Right now these direction need to be "overlayed" and there is no way to differentiate between directions.
