I know that Cider supports hardware media keys (play/pause, etc.) already, but it seams like it's not using the native/latest API for that, at least on Windows.
Why is this important? Right now Cider takes over those Media Keys, regardless of other media apps playing media. Also, some games are "blocking" the "old way", so for example in Rainbow Six Siege you can't quickly use the play/pause button, you have to minimize the game first.. this doesn't happen with the native API.
I know that some people don't like the pop up you get with the native API, especially on Windows 10 but at least having it as an option would be great! And on Windows 11 it's much less distracting.
