Spotify Notifications not working

I've installed the latest version of Spotify and Spotify Notifications and the notifications just won't work. Every time I try to see the current song playing, it just says "No song is playing". Solutions?

I've managed to get the source working with Mojave and 10.14 SDK. Need to create a pull request and get a proper release sorted out.
