Can't download pattern set

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but downloading pattern set from a URL doesn't seem to work at all: any attempt to do it just results in "Error loading pattern set" being displayed, apparently because of CORS, at least I see the following in the browser (Firefox if it matters) console:

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at $URL. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). Status code: 200.

Is there some workaround for this?
