In JointJS, the size of the paper can be defined arbitrarily and can even be dynamically changed, for example, after the user places the shape beyond its boundary. You can define the drawing area as a single sheet of paper or multiple sheets laid side by side and display the page breaks between them as dashed lines. This approach works well when the print function is in place, as each sheet can represent an actual sheet of paper.
Alternatively, the drawing area can be changed to an infinite space that has no explicit boundaries. Both of these approaches, how to switch between them, and an example of different types of grids are illustrated in today's demo.
