Aims to fully build the Skeuomorphic/Frutiger Aero beauty into the Mozilla Firefox ESR Releases (Currently, 115) interface, and make computing productive and fun, once again.

Disclaimer:

This theme was built to look best with Windows Aero Glass transparency.

Features:

  1. Aero user interface across all Windows versions.
  2. Aero hover effect on context menus; Windows 7/Vista style scrollbars, buttons, menus and toolbars and more: on Windows 10+ systems as well.
  3. Better User Experience compared to vanilla Firefox or any other Firefox theme, owing to better legibility, colour and contrast.
  4. Skeuomorphism prevails—icons, fun gradients and more.
  5. The UI is pleasing and fun to work with.
  6. The project means to build, restore and uphold user-centric and user-pleasing UI design practices.

Description

Installation:

  1. Install Firefox 115 ESR https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.15.0esr/win64/en-GB/

  2. Put the 'defaults' folder and config.js file in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

  3. Start Firefox. (i) Enable 'compact mode' under toolbar density (ii) Make sure to disable 'Sponsored shortcuts' and 'Recommendations by Pocket' (iii) Exit

  4. Drop the 'chrome' folder in %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles(Your default Firefox profile)

  5. Delete startupCache folder under C:\Users(username)\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles(Your default Firefox profile)

For Windows 10 users

For transparency effects:

  1. Download and install Resource Hacker

  2. Run as administrator

  3. File > Open > find firefox.exe > Manifest > delete/comment these lines:

      <supportedOS Id="{1f676c76-80e1-4239-95bb-83d0f6d0da78}"/>

  1. Rename menus_aero_win10+.css within chrome/ to menus_aero.css and drop it in chrome/css/
