@codecovdesign I think we're not being clear on what the interval selector is actually doing. This selector bins data points to the set interval. For example, selecting 7 days means that each data point is actually a binned time period and we're reporting a single result for that binned period. So the selector isn't a range, but rather a binning interval. This is quite confusing (and also referenced here)

We should likely clarify the language to at least make it clearer what this drop down is doing. Additionally, we should consider the addition of a true range selector as that's typically what users are looking for when they interact with this ui component.
