Trying to end CBC Promt with ctrl-d leads to endless loop

I tried to exit the program by using ctrl+d in the command prompt. apparently that triggered some kind of loop that the program doesn't like.
Was using the current version installed with coinbrew[1]

Steps to reproduce:

1. run cbc binary
2. press ctrl+d in prompt
3. watch the madness
