nerdctl pull nginx timing out

I am using a vpn on windows and i have had problems before due to it with DNS resolving when building containers with docker. How can i instruct nerdctl to still keep working when connected via VPN? If i disconnect my vpn everything starts working again. To be clear, i've been using this vpn for many other things (it's my works vpn), without any other issues.

This also happens during build, which seems DNS is not resolving correctly, also for other sources (C# Nuget packages). Any clues?

After a lot of trial and error i found https://github.com/sakai135/wsl-vpnkit which seems to work so far :)
