Only 34 movies

A while ago I asked about sorting in folder view. That isn't possible and I can live with that. Now I moved on to add everything and I'm running into a problem.

When I add my movie database to my home screen (with about 600+ movies) in this way:
"Add-on - Video add-on - PlexKodiConnect - Films - Films - Create menu to here"
Only 34 movies show up. About half of them are recently added movies and the others seemingly random.

I can do this as well, and this does give me all the movies, but now I can't sort them anymore:
"Add-on - Video add-on - PlexKodiConnect - Films - All Films - Create menu to here"

Can someone tell me why I only get 34 movies with the first method? When I go to "Films" in Kodi I see all the movies. I have already checked for filters, but can't find them. I can't find out what it is that the 34 movies have in common either.
