DIN

Original Standard is DIN 700 (renamed later as 40700) to define a set of unique symbols for all kinds of schematics, including power, analogue or whatsoever, not just logic. Regarding logic gates the so called 'Semmeln' (~diner rolls) with their characteristc circular shape are most notable.

40700 has been replaced arround 1980 by DIN 40900. Most notable the round shapes have been replaced by boxes.
