Confused by number of transactions under "Everyone" tab

Hi, I got the app and api running pretty easily but am having trouble understanding which types of transactions are shown within the "Everyone" tab compared to the "Friends" and "Mine" tabs. I think I understand which transactions the "Friends" and "Mine" tabs display, but the "Everyone" tab seems to display a lot fewer transactions which I'm having trouble understanding. Shouldn't it show more transactions?

For example when logged in as Edgar Johns (username: Katharina_Bernier) for the "Everyone" tab I see only 3 pages of transactions, whereas in the Friends and Mine tabs I can see a lot more transactions: 48 and 24 pages. I tried other users and had the same experience.

I tried looking at the code and also searching for a business explanation of what the app does, but didn't find anything of use. So any help here would be much appreciated thanks!
