How to access forecast attribute

Sorry if I’m being stupid, but I don’t seem to have any forecast attributes in my weather entity.

Here’s a list of the attributes, all of which are current and not forecast.

temperature,
temperature_unit,
humidity,
pressure,
pressure_unit,
wind_bearing,
wind_speed,
wind_speed_unit,
visibility_unit,
precipitation_unit,
friendly_name,
supported_features

The last attribute, supported_features, is just “1”. I did select the option to create forecast sensors, but that does not affect the attributes of the weather entity.

The example code states.weather.<<STATIONID>>.attributes.forecast[0].wind_bearing also does not work. Yes, I did replace the token with my Wunderground station ID.

I feel like the forecast is there somewhere, as the HASS Weather Card is able to display it, but I was trying to use the Platinum Weather Card and not finding those forecast attributes to include.

Thanks for any pointers to help me fully use this very useful repo. I have v2.0.6 loaded through HACS, running latest HASS via OS.

Yes, I did activate the sensor option, but those sensors seem to be separate from the weather entity. I suppose the code below in the README example is out of date? There is no "forecast" attribute.

states.weather.<STATIONID>.attributes.forecast[0].wind_bearing returns missing attribute error for my station ID.
However, this works: states.weather.<STATIONID>.attributes.wind_bearing, even if it's in the older HASS templating style.

Despite my confusion about the README documentation here, looking more through the discussions, it seems it's the Platinum card's issue. I just wish I understood how the HASS Weather Card was pulling its information from the various sensors. Anyway, thanks for making this repo. Very useful.

the forecast sensors and
weather card entities are 2 entirely different (independent) things.
if you want to access the weather entities, refer to the weather documentation:
