Input text fields (input-mini) are missing in v3.0.0.

I have been using this marvellous widget in a project and recently upgraded from v2.1.24 to 3.0.5. Then I noticed that the in-built text fields are missing from v3.0.0 onwards with this commit. Was there any compelling reason for removing that great feature?

I understand that users might enter invalid dates and run into issues in some edge cases. But isn't it better to hide the text fields (using css or an option) in that particular cases comapred to removing them altogether?

That was years ago, I don't remember, and you're free to continue using v2.1.24 if you want to keep the text fields.
