Thanks very much for this extension, which comes into its own as my windows multiply!
Suppose I am editing a file called "foo.h", and that name is in the editor's title bar. If I open Switcher and type ".", then the window is offered. If I type ".h" then it is still offered. If I type "foo" it is offered, but if I then add a ".", so it says "foo." then it does not, and neither does "foo.h" match the window.
I am using version 26 of the extension with GNOME 3.28 with Ubuntu 18.04.
I notice that you just dropped support for 3.28; I can report that the extension works fine apart from this problem.

Thanks, @hgomersall! (To be precise, you escape it with a backslash.) That's an unintuitive workaround though, as normally when . has to be escaped, it's because otherwise it would match every character in a regex, not because it would match nothing!
Also, when you use this workaround, the matches are no longer underlined.
