We are using a Wordpress Plugin that utilizes fitvids.js as part of its optimization. Recently, SEO crawlers and other tools have started to highlight the use of
tags in the tag as bad.
It seems that the fitvid.js behavior of injecting into the tag was to resolve an IE issue, but with IE being discontinued, it would be great if this was removed or provide a way to prevent this behavior.

I would recommend NOT using FitVids or that plugin anymore actually. Depending on your usecases, I would just add a CSS aspect-ratio to the videos. It does the same thing.
