Hello,
I am using it for quite some days and thank your for providing such a nice theme. However there is no way to identify if you are in edit mode of code or display mode. Would be nice to fix this as it is done in default ABAP editor.

The issue is quite a while back, maybe someone has still an interest.
You can change the background color of the edit mode to real black (looks even better) and so the read only mode stays in a dark non black color.
For this click the icon on the bottom right of the editor, then Font and Colors/ Display Items: Normal and set the item background. You might want to set the background color of a few further elements to Automatic for it to be black.
