This has been observed on the ASUS M2N68-AM SE2 motherboard, which has MCP61 Ethernet (10de:03ef). The original M2N68-AM, with MCP67 Ethernet (10de:054c), seems unaffected.
The bug can typically be reproduced quickly by a ping flood: e.g. ping -f google.com
I looked into obtaining an affected board for testing, or another board with MCP61, but I didn't find one.
Please send me your delivery address then I will send you this motherboard. I have 3 such motherboards, so I will be happy to get rid of one :) My email: andrzej(at)subocz.pl
