DSS 5.1.4 wont launch in Windows 11

I have just installed DSS 5.1.4 on my windows 11 22H2 PC. This is a brand new machine with minimal programs installed at present. It will not launch from the shortcut on the desktop created by the program or the .exe file in program files. It will launch from either if it is run as anadministrator.

Most problems with DeepSkyStacker will need you to upload a minimal set of files that allow the problem to be recreated including a dssfilelist to a file sharing site. Obviously if the problem can be recreated with any (or no data) such as a UI problem then we don't need that.

Please will you post your problem report on the DeepSkyStacker mailing list at groups.io.

You can join the mailing list by sending an email to: [email protected]

You can then send emails direct to [email protected]

You shouldn't need to run as administrator. Please look in your Documents/DeepSkyStacker folder - there should be trace files in that location. Probably the first one created after installation will be the relevant one. I'm closing this now, and we can continue on the mailing list.
