Hi there—is this dark mode in the Deneb editor or dark mode in Power BI? Unfortunately, we don't have any way to detect whether this is enabled or not if it's Power BI. As it's a preview feature, this may change, but it would be good to know which it is. If it is Power BI, I can see if I can request the ability for us to get some info from MS on what theming is set in the main UI.

For your information, Vega creates the widgets and styling dynamically based on your spec. We will introduce some changes to allow these to be customized—the feature request for this is #275. It should be available in v2, which I don't have an ETA for, but it should be sometime early/mid next year if all goes well from my end.

I've had reports on other visuals that Dark mode affects their display. According to MS, dark mode should not affect the report canvas, but it seems to be doing something to the main DOM element in the custom visual host container.

The product team is investigating the issue, but for now, you will need to use either Light or Light (non-legacy) modes in Desktop. FWIW deployed reports should work as expected (based on what I've had reported to me from elsewhere so far - of course if you have more info to help flesh this out, then please let me know)
