So first of all, I love your gem and will likely be contributing at some point.
For that tags, there is an interesting case that I saw this in the docs:
Adding Tags If you want to add tag1 and tag2 to every line you’re importing, add the following to the top of the text file:
tags:tag1 tag2
Not always useful but wouldn't be a bad feature to add, which I may do...
