What are rough milestones of this project?

Translate Redis from C to D, be able to compile in D, and pass all the unit tests.
I already did most of it, but haven't open source it yet. If people are interested in it, I can open source it.

How does this project help the D community?

To promote the "BetterC", need a well-known project to demo "BetterC" is better than C.
