Sync versioning of library with .net

Every .net library has versioning X.0.Y but Microsoft.Extensions.Telemetry.Abstractions has X.Y.0

Would it be possible to align the versioning of Microsoft.Extensions.Telemetry.Abstractions with other Microsoft libraries?

This would allow me to easier manage the version:

<AspNetCoreVersion>9.0.1</AspNetCoreVersion>

Note that https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/platform/support/policy/extensions says only the latest release is supported here. Although .NET 8.0 is still supported, the 8.* packages from this repository are already out of support. Thus, if you were using <TargetFramework>net8.0</TargetFramework> and <AspNetCoreVersion>8.0.12</AspNetCoreVersion>, you'd regardless need version 9.1.0 of Microsoft.Extensions.Telemetry.Abstractions in order to be supported.

Ok, but imo it would be more clear to have extension version 9.0.X instead of 9.X.0

No, it wouldn't. 9.0.X implies a patch, whilst each (monthly) release in this repo is a new release.
