Slowness while accessing "All Trips" #812

Loading

A user reported that the "All Trips" screen was very slow, would often freeze and not come back until the app was restarted

There are two issues:

trips are not read from the server (screenshot below)
even after trips have loaded, the screen hangs

Both of these happened around the timestamp on this screenshot.
