it can be interesting to not only inquire possitions, but give as well an overview
over the obtained features.
E.g.:

how many A-->T , C--> G changes, transitions vs transversions
stats of frequencies (histogram, density plot, ecdf)
stats with qc values
.....

I think the idea is that the expensive part is parsing/position and the above would not take any considerable amount of resources
